Hello to all! My name is Anya. La Connoisseur—You can find me in downtown Los Angeles during hours of work and play. I am passionate about style, grace, and all things wild. I am free through travel, art, and fashion. Follow me on this DIY-Fabric Edition Journey!
We're going to make a frame today- out of fabric!
Tulle crafts have always been a large contributor to DIY
posts! Today we are NOT using tulle--instead we shall use polyester mesh netting.
Why mesh instead of tulle you
say? While tulle is rough, itchy, and stiff, mesh netting is soft, gentle, and
stretchable! You can use this fabric as a substitute for tulle in your other crafts
as well. I used the ivory, rust autumn, teal, and burgundy poly mesh for this project- but use the colors that match your taste!
Materials needed:
1 – 3 Wire Wreath or Frame
1 yard of each Poly Mesh Netting of desired colors.
Any Embellishments Desired
Instructions:
1. Cut! Cut 1 yd. of fabric into 6 strips. Cut the
second and third colors of fabric into smaller strips. For added dimension cut the
second and third layers in slightly different sizes. Make sure to keep the first
layer the longest.
3. Spice it up! Add any decals you have handy. I added some decorative fall flowers.
4. Make it hang! Add a vintage rope or your favorite yarn to display your frame.
There it is folks! In three easy steps you have
your custom mesh netting Autumn –themed frame. Just in time to welcome
your Thanksgiving dinner guests!
Happy Feasting!
